AUCKLAND BOARDING KENNEL


At Beaver Road Pet Motel our boarding kennels & cattery we have large,spacious accomodation for your pet care. 

Each kennel has a seperate individual indoor/outdoor run, leading to eight fully fenced outdoor grassed areas.

EXERCISE AREAS:
Weather permitting,pets have the freedom of the exercise areas ALL day.Small, medium and large dogs are accomodated in separate areas where they can mix with similar size dogs.Dogs who prefer to play alone(or Dogs that do not mix well with others) will be exercised in separate areas individually.

KENNEL COMFORTS:
All pets are housed in their own kennel overnight,unless otherwise requested by their owners if several pets from the same family prefer to stay together.Each kennel is fitted with a bed and blanket.If you think your pets' stay will be more enjoyable and settled with a reminder of home, please bring familiar bedding or toy. We do however supply all of these things and remind owners that due to your pet being in unfamiliar territory,we have seen a blanket,beanbag or toy return home in a much different state!Please name any item that you leave with your pet.

MENU:
We have a combination of dry biscuits & meat.We use Purina Pro-Plan & Royal Canine,alsoTux biscuits.We cater for all types of dogs and dietary requirements, puppy,senior citizen,a weight watcher or just plain fussy!

VACCINATIONS:
Please bring your pets' vet certificate with you when dropping them off for their stay.All pets are required to have, up-to-date vaccines of the following: Distemper,Parvovirus,Hepatitis,Leptospirosis,Coronavirus,Adenovirus,Parainfluenza Virus & Bordetella.

Its Lesley I picked my babies up yesterday and they look great, we thought they would hide away for a couple of days until they got used to us again and their new surroundings but not a chance they were all over us, Oscar didn’t want to sleep last night ( must be jet lagged) and spend the whole night annoying us and chatting away, it was as if we hadn’t been apart.

    We have been regular customers of Beaver Road Pet Motel for 7 years. Our 10-year-old Border Collie, Basil, stays there happily for occasional day-care, for a weekend, or for 3-to-four weeks when we go away on holiday. (We have no experience of the separate cattery.) The Pet Motel hosts (long-established New Zealanders from the UK) provide a safe, clean environment for their canine guests. We are very comfortable with the attention paid to the dogs' health and general welfare, including the socialisation together of dogs that are compatible in size and temperament. Our Basil, normally wary of people outside our family, loves his visits to Beaver Road Pet Motel. On arrival there, he bounds into the kennels enthusiastically. We have found the proprietors of Beaver Road Pet Motel very sensitive to our needs and timetables, and excellent people to deal with.

I always stay at this lovely boarding kennels when my Mum and Dad go away.I have been staying here for 9 years. Jan and Peter are perfect hosts and ensure that I am given the amount of fuss I am used to. They look after me very well and make sure I dont get into any trouble (Mum and Dad have told them that because I am a Jack Russell I have a bit of an attitude!) There is lots of room to sniff and play and occasionally I even get to chat to the ladies in the room next door. I am always very happy here and would recommend it to all my furry friends out there, there is always lots of doggy gossip to catch up on and I would give it a 5 plus star rating if only Jan and Peter would just let me out for a little while each day to chase the local rabbits! CATTERY


Many cats are not comfortable & cannot relax with the noise or the company of dogs, especially being in a new environment away from home.
At Beaver Road Pet Motel, we think our feline friends appreciate that they are located beside our home, well away from the kennels site and its occupants for a more peaceful stay.


CONSERVATORY AREAS:
Our cattery has 14 large walk-in individual cattery units.
They each have a warm and cosy indoor area all leading to their own multi level outside conservatories.

CATTERY COMFORTS:
Both inside and outside areas in our cattery units are completely fitted with shelving,climbing logs,cushions,cubby holes,blankets and scratching poles.
Cats can be boarded with their own toys & bedding throughout their stay if preferred.If you do bring any extra equipment for your pet, please make sure all items are clearly named.

MENU:
Each cat has all day acces to fresh food and water in their own cattery unit. 
Purina Pro-Plan salmon & rice biscuits are readily available all day & Whiskas satchet treats are given each evening.
Please advise if your cat has any special dietary requirements which we will cater for.

VACCINATIONS:
Please bring your cats' vet certificate with you on arrival for their stay. 
All cats are required to have up-to-date annual vaccines.
